Clayton Barry has been in the specialty cleaning and restoration industry for over forty years. As a young man in Vancouver, B.C., he worked in his father’s carpet cleaning and fire restoration business. In the late 1960s, his family migrated to San Francisco, where Clayton worked with two national advertising agencies and later as one of four regional marketing managers at United Airlines.
In 1979 his entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish a dynamic restoration company focused on a niche commercial clientele. In 2006 he joined a leading franchise system serving the insurance industry where, within four years, he received the “CEO Award” for contributions to “commercial marketing.” His Bay Area operation earned the annual “Top 100” distinction among more than 1,700 operators.
Clayton Barry sold the business in 2018 to live his passion of consulting and coaching. A teacher at heart, he has written two restoration books and has mentored numerous franchise and independent businesses. He guides management teams in creating a solid company culture, discovering and developing their unique selling proposition, and excelling at being focused on the human element, significantly how to transform their customers into clients-for-life.
